130lb Head Coach- Harvey Nix
Harvey Nix is a graduate of Valley High School in Albuquerque, NM and Menlo College
(Menlo Park, CA) and Texas Tech University (Lubbock, TX) where he also played football (quarterback). Harvey has been
married 19 years to Becky Nix and has three children attending Briarwood High School (Tyler 10th, Kyle 9th
and Rachel 7th). Harvey moved to Birmingham in 1998. Harvey currently is CEO of “Proventix Systems”
and helps run a family business “No Training Wheels”. Harvey has helped coach Briarwood youth teams since
its inception in 2005.
120lb Head Coach - Brad
Gray
Brad Gray graduated
from Briarwood Christian High School
in May of 1987. Brad received his B.S. in Accounting from the University
of Alabama in May of 1991. Brad met his bride, Nancy Gray, at the
University of Alabama,
and they have been married for 16 years. The Gray’s have three children – Bradley, William and Catherine.
Brad grew up in Birmingham, Alabama
playing youth and high school sports. He played 5 years of youth football for the old Cahaba Heights Black Knights.
During high school at Briarwood, Brad played football, basketball and was a member of the track and golf teams.
During his senior year at BCS, Brad played quarterback/running back and he earned All
State defensive back honors. Additionally, he was awarded the Bryant-Jordan
Scholar Athlete Award. Brad has been involved with youth sports with his two sons for the past several years in which
he has primarily performed the duties of a “Dad assistant”. During the fall of 2006, Brad was the running
back coach for the 120 lb Cahaba Valley Lions. Brad's first head coaching at CVF was in the 2007 season.

- Chris Rasco
Chris
graduated from Auburn University in 2000 with a BA in Public Relations. He moved to Birmingham, where he met his wife,
Crystal, and they married in 2002. They have two girls: Makenzie and Madelyn. Chris grew up in Cullman, attending Vinemont
High School, where he played football. He now resides in Pelham, and works as a VP for Miracle Industries. He has been
a youth football head coach for three years .
